Add Date Field To Online Animals Templates For Free

To fill out a variable with actual info, click on a variable in a template/document or open the variables list under Variables on the right, and enter a value. The information is populated throughout the template/document through the variable used. To delete a variable, first, delete it on the document body.

To create your own variables open your Template > drag&drop a Content Block > type a custom name of the variable in square brackets (e.g. [Client. Address]).

Insert a date that updates automatically On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Date & Time. In the Date and time dialog box, select the format you want. Select the Update automatically check box. The date is inserted as a field and will update automatically.

Go to Settings > Settings, navigate down to Default date format, set the default date field format, then select Save changes. Any new field you add to a document will now follow this format. You can also set the format for an individual date field within a document.

Use a date picker to let a user pick a known date, such as a date of birth, where the context of the calendar is not important. If the context of a calendar is important, consider using a calendar date picker or calendar view.
