If you've made a Will, then the executor(s) of your Will would have the legal right to make decisions about your funeral. If not, the appointed administrator (your next of kin) would have the legal right to make the decisions.

Under the FTC's Funeral Rule, consumers have the right to get a general price list from a funeral provider when they ask about funeral arrangements. They also have the right to choose the funeral goods and services they want (with some exceptions), and funeral providers must state this right on the general price list.

Generally, immediate family members and close friends sit at the front during the funeral service. Then additional close family and friends sit in the seats close behind. There's not usually a seating plan so if you're not family or friends, it's proper etiquette to wait until other people take their seats.

You must give the survivors relevant price lists, as well as an itemized Statement of Funeral Goods and Services Selected. You also must comply with the Rule if you sell pre-need contracts on behalf of one or more funeral homes, but do not yourself provide funeral goods and services.

There is no law prohibiting loaded or unloaded firearms in vehicles. Unlike other states, there is no wildlife regulation on loaded long-guns. Weapons cannot be concealed upon the person within city/town limits (see permitless carry).

Montana law also allows otherwise ineligible people to purchase and possess firearms after a felony conviction if they receive a permit from their local court, which may be granted by the court upon a showing of good cause for possession of each firearm sought to be purchased and possessed.
