Member schools shall ensure that all students have access and opportunities to participate in athletics without discrimination based on disability, race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, age, national origin, or ancestry.

The total enrollment of the two schools determines which tournament division the team plays in. The rule has allowed smaller schools to combine for sports such as football and track which require larger numbers, and larger schools to combine for sports with low interest.

A student who transfers from any school into a member school after the fourth consecutive semester following entry into Grade 9 shall be ineligible for competition any level for one calendar year, but may practice, unless the transfer is made necessary by a total change in residence by parent(s).

A student-athlete is eligible for interscholastic competition at a member school if he/she is carried on the attendance rolls as a duly enrolled full-time Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 student in that member school.
