Nevada's lemon law states the manufacturer must be allowed a ?reasonable number of attempts? to fix the vehicle. The state's law defines that as four or more attempts, after which if the manufacturer cannot successfully make repairs they must repurchase or replace the vehicle.

Ing to the Lemon Law, it is legally presumed that a manufacturer had a reasonable opportunity to repair your vehicle when, either, your vehicle has had four or more repairs for the same problem, or, if the vehicle was out of service for 30 or more total days as a result of all its different repairs.

The statute of limitations for a lemon law lawsuit in Nevada is 18 months from the date of the original delivery of the motor vehicle to the buyer. In addition, the buyer must notify the manufacturer that the vehicle is a lemon within the express warranty or one-year time period following the purchase of the vehicle.

In most instances to qualify under a lemon law your vehicle must only have an unreasonable repair history under the warranty, including (but not limited to) 3-4 repair attempts for the same problem, 6 repairs total on the vehicle, or 30 days out of service by reason of repair.

There isn't a specific lemon law for used cars in Nevada, but the state's existing lemon law does cover used cars as long as the vehicle's express warranty is still in effect. Whether you are the vehicle's first owner or not, as long as the vehicle's warranty is still in effect you are protected by state lemon law.
