The paperwork required takes approximately twenty minutes to complete. To obtain a marriage license in Wyoming, couples must appear in person to the County Clerk, present a photo ID - Driver's License, Passport, Military ID, or tribal ID, and divorce or death certificate, if applicable.

Marriage ceremonies are not performed in our office, or at the courthouse. You must make your own arrangements to have an Officiant perform your ceremony. View a list of local officiants (PDF). If you are bringing someone with you to perform your ceremony, that's okay!

Though there are no officiant registration requirements in Wyoming, you must be an ordained minister to be able to legally perform marriage. Local regulations in Wyoming stipulate that wedding officiants under the designation of "Minister" be ordained by a religious organization, such as American Marriage Ministries.

The License fee is $30 payable by cash, check, debit or credit card ($1.50 service fee will apply if using a card). Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards are accepted.
