A joint venture (JV) is a business arrangement in which two or more parties agree to pool their resources for the purpose of accomplishing a specific task. This task can be a new project or any other business activity. Each of the participants in a JV is responsible for profits, losses, and costs associated with it.

Duration of the Joint Venture Agreement A joint venture agreement can be entered into for an indefinite period of time or for a definite period of time. An indefinite agreement may be terminated by either party in ance with the terms and conditions of the joint venture agreement.
