Each arbitrator shall take an oath of office in each county or circuit in which the arbitrator intends to serve on an arbitration panel. The oath shall be in conformity with the form provided in Rule 94 herein and shall be executed by the arbitrator when such arbitrator's name is placed on the list of arbitrators.

The recording, publishing, broadcasting or other copying or transmission of courtroom proceedings by video, audio, still photography or any other means is strictly prohibited by Illinois Supreme Court Rule 68(A)(8) and is subject to the penalties for contempt of court.

Illinois Supreme Court Rule 93 allows a party to reject an arbitration award if the rejection is filed within 30 days of the arbitration hearing and if the party pays a $200 fee to the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

All attorneys licensed in Illinois who reside in, maintain offices in, or practice in the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, shall be eligible for appointment as arbitrators by filing the appropriate form with the Arbitration Administrator.

A defendant who returns a timely waiver of service is not required to appear or serve an answer to the complaint until (i) 60 days from the date on which the request for waiver of service was sent or (ii) 90 days if the defendant was addressed outside of the United States.
