The Equal Pay Act (EPA) protects individuals of all sexes. The Equal Pay Act requires that men and women in the same workplace be given equal pay for equal work.Employees doing the same quantity and quality of the same type of work in the same establishment must be paid equally regardless of sex. Under the Equal Pay Act, women and men have the right to receive equal pay if they perform equal work in the same workplace. The Equal Pay Act prohibits wage discrimination between men and women employees at the workplace when men and women do not receive the same pay.
