Alaska CR-502 (Anchorage) is a state-funded road that runs from the town of Anchorage to the nearby border of Canada. The road is approximately 500 miles in length and is divided into five segments: Seward Highway, Glenn Highway, Richardson Highway, Alaska Highway, and Top of the World Highway. The Seward Highway segment runs from Anchorage to the Kenji Peninsula, while the Glenn Highway runs from Anchorage to the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. The Richardson Highway segment runs from the Copper River to the town of TOK, while the Alaska Highway runs from the Yukon border to the town of Delta Junction. The Top of the World Highway segment runs from the Alaskan-Yukon border to the town of Beaver Creek. The road is open year-round, although some sections may close during the winter months due to inclement weather or avalanche danger. The road is paved and features numerous scenic vistas, as well as access to recreational activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
