The Alaska Juneau Coordinated Resources Project — MentaHeadcountrJMJMCPPPPPR PRPRP) is a specialized court program designed to provide comprehensive and collaborative services to individuals who have a serious mental illness and have been charged with or convicted of a criminal offense. MJ CRP is a collaborative effort that includes the Juneau District Court, the Juneau Police Department, the Alaska Office of Public Advocacy, the Alaska Department of Corrections, and local mental health providers. MJ CRP utilizes a team-based approach to identify and address the needs of the individual, which may include substance abuse treatment, crisis intervention, housing assistance, and other supportive services. The primary goal of MJ CRP is to reduce recidivism and promote successful re-entry into the community. There are two types of Alaska Juneau Coordinated Resources Project — Mental Health Court: 1) Mental Health Pre-Trial Diversion Program and 2) Mental Health Post-Conviction Diversion Program.
