Alabama Home Health Care Services is a comprehensive set of services delivered in the comfort of a patient's home. Services include medical care, personal care, and support services for those who are unable to receive care in a traditional health care setting. Services may include skilled nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, medical social services, home health aides, personal care attendants, and medical equipment and supplies. There are three different types of Alabama Home Health Care Services: Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency Services, Private Duty Home Health Care Services, and Home Health Care Services for Veterans. Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency Services are provided by agencies that have met the strict standards of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Private Duty Home Health Care Services are provided by private agencies and are tailored to meet the individual patient's needs. Home Health Care Services for Veterans are provided by the Veterans Health Administration and are available to veterans and their families.
