Connecticut Application For Supervised Diversionary Program — SpanishCASEDPD) is an alternative to incarceration for non-violent offenders in the state of Connecticut. It is an evidence-based, structured program that provides eligible individuals with the opportunity to address the underlying causes of their criminal behavior and obtain the necessary skills, resources, and support to become productive members of society. CASED is administered by the State of Connecticut's Department of Correction in partnership with the Connecticut Superior Court. There are two types of Connecticut Application For Supervised Diversionary Program — SpanishPre-planea and Post-pleaPre-planea is for individuals who are charged with a crime but have not yet entered a plea. Post-plea is for individuals who have already entered a plea of guilty or solo contender and are awaiting disposition of their case. CASED is intended to provide participants with a comprehensive program of supervision, intervention, and supportive services designed to reduce recidivism and improve long-term outcomes. Participants are required to comply with certain conditions, such as attending educational classes, completing community service hours, and submitting to regular drug testing.
