Maine Victim Confidential Address (Fillable) is a form provided by the Maine State Department of Public Safety, Office of Victim Services, to assist crime victims who wish to protect their personal information from public disclosure. The form allows victims to provide an alternate address for use in public records, thus protecting victims from harassment, intimidation, or further victimization. The form is also used when victims are requesting restitution, filing a civil lawsuit, or registering with the Maine Office of Victim Services. There are three types of Maine Victim Confidential Address (Fillable): Victim Address Confidentiality Program (VAMP), Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), and Witness Address Confidentiality Program (WARP). VAMP is intended for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or other violent crimes; ACP is used by victims of any crime or an act of violence; and WARP is intended for witnesses to a crime.
