Minnesota Chapter 13 Debtors Certifications Regarding Domestic Support Obligations are documents filed by debtors in the state of Minnesota who are filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. The purpose of the document is to certify that the debtor is in compliance with all applicable laws concerning payment of domestic support obligations, such as child support and spousal maintenance. The certification must be signed by the debtor and all co-debtors and must list all domestic support obligations that are owed by the debtor. There are three types of Minnesota Chapter 13 Debtors Certifications Regarding Domestic Support Obligations: 1) Reconfirmation Certification; 2) Post-Confirmation Certification; and 3) Final Certification. The Reconfirmation Certification must be filed with the original bankruptcy petition and must certify that all domestic support obligations are current and accounted for in the bankruptcy plan. The Post-Confirmation Certification must be filed at the conclusion of the plan and must certify that all domestic support obligations have been paid in full. The Final Certification must be filed at the conclusion of the bankruptcy and must certify that all domestic support obligations have been satisfied.
