Nebraska Appendix N, Certification of À la carte (ALC) Fees/Expenses by Counsel for Debtor is a document that is required for all bankruptcy cases in the state of Nebraska. This document must be completed by the debtor’s attorney and filed with the court. It outlines the specific expenses that have been incurred by the debtor’s attorney in the course of providing legal services, such as research, filing fees, court appearances, and other costs. These expenses are considered à la cartete” (ALC) and must be separately itemized and certified by the attorney in order for the court to approve them. There are two types of Nebraska Appendix N, Certification of À la carte (ALC) Fees/Expenses by Counsel for Debtor. The first is a “Full ALC Certification” which must be completed when the debtor’s attorney has incurred more than $500 in legal expenses. The second type is a “Partial ALC Certification” which must be completed when the attorney’s expenses are less than $500.
