New Jersey Prisoner Civil Rights Complaint (05/09) is a legal action which is filed by inmates of the New Jersey prison system in order to seek redress for violations of their civil rights. These rights can include the right to due process, the right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment, the right to access the courts, the right to be free from discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or national origin, and the right to be free from other forms of unconstitutional treatment. The 05/09 version of the complaint was updated to reflect changes to the New Jersey Department of Corrections regulations.
