New Jersey Renunciation of Executor is a legal document that is used to formally declare a person's refusal to serve as the Executor of an estate in the state of New Jersey. This document allows a person to formally declare that they are not willing to serve as the Executor of a deceased person's estate, and in doing so, they are releasing any potential personal liability associated with the position. There are two types of New Jersey Renunciation of Executor documents: a renunciation of executor ship by the Executor, and a renunciation of executor ship by a potential Executor. In either document, the renouncing party must provide their name, address, and contact information, as well as the decedent's name, date of death, and the County where the estate is being probated. Once the document is signed, notarized, and filed with the County Surrogate's Court, the renouncing party is officially released from any potential liability associated with the estate.
