Oklahoma Use of ElectronicDevices and Research Prohibited is a policy which disallows the use of electronic devices and research activities within the Oklahoma public school system. This includes the use of cell phones, computers, tablets, and other electronic devices, as well as research activities through the internet, library databases, and other sources. The policy also prohibits the use of electronic devices and research to facilitate cheating, plagiarism, and other forms of academic dishonesty. Examples of prohibited activities include taking pictures of test materials, using a calculator to solve test questions, and performing online research to answer questions. There are two types of Oklahoma Use of Electronic Devices and Research Prohibited: (1) Classroom Use and (2) Standardized Testing. Classroom Use prohibits the use of electronic devices and research to aid in the completion of class assignments, while Standardized Testing prohibits the use of electronic devices and research to aid in the completion of standardized tests.
