Oklahoma Consents to Jurisdiction by a United States Magistrate Judge is a legal document that establishes the agreement of the parties in a dispute to have the case heard and decided by a United States Magistrate Judge. This document allows the parties to waive their right to a jury trial and to have the case heard in a United States Magistrate Court. It also grants the magistrate judge the authority to make binding decisions in the case. There are two types of Oklahoma Consents to Jurisdiction by a United States Magistrate Judge: the Consent to Jurisdiction by a United States Magistrate Judge (Civil) and the Consent to Jurisdiction by a United States Magistrate Judge (Criminal). The Civil Consent to Jurisdiction by a United States Magistrate Judge allows the parties to waive their right to a jury trial and to have the case heard in a United States Magistrate Court. The Criminal Consent to Jurisdiction by a United States Magistrate Judge allows the parties to consent to the jurisdiction of a United States Magistrate Judge for all criminal matters arising out of the same judicial district. Both types of Consent to Jurisdiction by a United States Magistrate Judge must be signed by both parties to the dispute and filed with the court.
