Pennsylvania Schedule B — For the Distribution of Real Estate is a legal form used to identify and describe the real estate to be distributed in a Pennsylvania estate. This form is used to enable an executor of a will to provide a description of the real estate that is to be distributed in accordance with the will. There are two types of Pennsylvania Schedule B — For the Distribution of Real Estate forms: Schedule B-1 and Schedule B-2. Schedule B-1 is used to list and describe all real estate owned by the decedent when the will is executed. This includes any real estate located in Pennsylvania, as well as any real estate located in other states. This form must list the address, legal description, and other pertinent information about each piece of property. Schedule B-2 is used to list and describe all real estate acquired by the decedent after the will is executed. This form must list the address, legal description, and other pertinent information about each piece of property. Both Schedule B-1 and Schedule B-2 forms must be signed by the executor in order to be valid. The forms must also be notarized. The Pennsylvania Schedule B forms must then be filed with the Register of Wills as part of the probate process.
