The Pennsylvania Certificate of Readiness is a document that is issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to demonstrate that a business, organization, or local government is prepared to resume operations in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to the Commonwealth’s COVID-19 safety protocols and guidelines. This certificate is applicable to all businesses, organizations, and local governments operating in Pennsylvania. There are two types of Pennsylvania Certificate of Readiness: the COVID-19 General Mitigation Certificate and the COVID-19 Industry-Specific Mitigation Certificate. The COVID-19 General Mitigation Certificate is a self-certification process that businesses, organizations, and local governments must complete to demonstrate that they are in compliance with the Commonwealth’s safety protocols and guidelines. The COVID-19 Industry-Specific Mitigation Certificate is a more detailed and comprehensive certification process that is specific to certain industries, such as restaurants and bars, retail stores, gyms, and event venues.
