Tennessee Application for Funding from Bench and Bar Fund is a program that provides financial assistance to qualifying Tennessee legal professionals. The program is funded by contributions from the legal community and is administered by the Tennessee Bar Foundation. The program allows for grants to be awarded to lawyers and law firms in need of financial assistance for legal services related to civil legal aid, pro bono services, and/or legal education. There are three types of Tennessee Application for Funding from Bench and Bar Fund: 1. Civil Legal Aid Grants: These grants are awarded to Tennessee lawyers and law firms that provide civil legal aid or pro bono services to low-income individuals and families. 2. Legal Education Grants: These grants are awarded to Tennessee lawyers and law firms that provide legal education programs to the public or to members of the legal profession. 3. Special Projects Grants: These grants are awarded to Tennessee lawyers and law firms for projects that promote or enhance access to justice.
