Texas Payment Advices Certification is a document that certifies the accuracy of employee wages and benefits reported on the Texas Payment Advices. It is issued by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to employers who report wages and benefits to TWC. The Texas Payment Advices Certification ensures that employees receive the correct amount of wages and benefits that are due to them. There are two types of Texas Payment Advices Certification: Regular Certification and Certified Retroactive Certification. Regular Certification is issued when an employer reports wages and benefits on the Payment Advices. Certified Retroactive Certification is issued when an employer has an audit finding that requires them to issue a retroactive Payment Advice. Both types of certification require employers to provide TWC with evidence that the wages and benefits have been paid.
