The Texas Amusement Ride Certificate of Inspection/Re inspection is a document issued by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) that certifies and confirms that amusement rides have been inspected and/or reinspected in accordance with the guidelines in the Texas Administrative Code. This document is required for amusement rides that are operated in the State of Texas. There are three types of Texas Amusement Ride Certificate of Inspection/Re inspection: an Initial Inspection Certificate, a Renewal Certificate, and a Re inspection Certificate. The Initial Inspection Certificate is issued after a ride is inspected for the first time by a qualified inspector. The Renewal Certificate is issued when an amusement ride passes a renewal inspection prior to the expiration of the original certificate. The Re inspection Certificate is issued after a reinspection of an amusement ride that failed the initial or renewal inspection.
