External Interface Requirements (Airs) are specifications that define the technical requirements and interface parameters for the exchange of information between two or more systems. This can include hardware, software, communications, and personnel. Airs are used to ensure that the components of different systems are compatible with each other and that the data is exchanged accurately. There are two types of External Interface Requirements: 1. System Interface Requirements (Sirs) SirsRs define the format, content, and delivery of data exchanged between two systems. They include details on the data formats, protocols, security measures, programming language, hardware/software configuration and other technical parameters. 2. Human Interface Requirements (His) HisRs define the requirements for the personnel who will interact with the system. This includes the user interface design, user experience guidelines, and training materials. In summary, External Interface Requirements are specifications used to ensure that different systems can communicate with one another and that the data exchanged is accurate. They are divided into System Interface Requirements and Human Interface Requirements.
