The CJA 19 Notice of Public Disclosure of Attorney Fee Information is a form used to provide notice to the public of the amount of compensation a court-appointed attorney is receiving for providing legal services in a criminal case. This form must be signed and filed with the court in order to document and publicly disclose the attorney’s fees. There are two types of CJA 19 Notice of Public Disclosure of Attorney Fee Information: 1) CJA 19-A (for appointed attorneys) and 2) CJA 19-B (for appointed counsel). The CJA 19-A form is used to document the attorney’s fees in cases where the attorney was appointed by the court. The CJA 19-B form is used to document the attorney’s fees in cases where the attorney was appointed by the U.S. Attorney’s office. Both forms must be filled out and filed with the court in order to disclose the amount of compensation the attorney is receiving for the legal services provided.
