18 U.S.C. Sec. 2246(2) defines a "sexual act" as any contact between the penis and the vulva or the penis and the anus, and any intrusion, however slight, of any part of a person's body or any object into the genital or anal opening of another. This definition also includes the touching of the genitalia or other intimate areas of another person for the purpose of sexual gratification. It also covers contact of the mouth with the genitalia. Types of sexual acts include: • Penis-Vulva Contact: Contact between the penis and the vulva. • Penis-Anus Contact: Contact between the penis and the anus. • Intrusion: Intrusion, however slight, of any part of a person’s body or any object into the genital or anal opening of another. • Touching: Touching of the genitalia or other intimate areas of another person for the purpose of sexual gratification. • Mouth-Genitalia Contact: Contact of the mouth with the genitalia.
