18 U.S.C. Sec. 2251(D) is a federal law that prohibits the publishing of child pornography. Under this law, it is a criminal offense to knowingly publish any material that contains any visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct. This law applies to all forms of publishing including, but not limited to, the internet, print, television, and film. The types of publishing of child pornography that are prohibited under this law include: 1. Distributing or sharing images of child pornography online or through any other electronic means. 2. Making and selling materials that contain images of child pornography. 3. Broadcasting images of child pornography on television or radio. 4. Printing images of child pornography in books or magazines. 5. Producing films or videos that contain images of child pornography.
