A Security Deposit Receipt is a document that is issued to a tenant when they pay a security deposit for renting a property. The security deposit is usually held by the landlord as a form of financial protection against damage to the property or unpaid rent. The security deposit receipt serves as a record of the transaction and acknowledges that the tenant has paid the security deposit. There are two types of Security Deposit Receipts: the standard Security Deposit Receipt and the Refundable Security Deposit Receipt. The standard Security Deposit Receipt is issued at the time the security deposit is paid and contains the name and address of both the landlord and the tenant, the amount of the security deposit paid, the date of payment, and any additional details the landlord wishes to include. The Refundable Security Deposit Receipt is issued when the tenant moves out of the property, indicating that the security deposit has been refunded, and contains the same information as the standard Security Deposit Receipt.
