The Virginia Application for Registration or for Renewal of Registration of Corporate Name (foreign corporations) is a form used by foreign corporations to register or renew their corporate name with the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC). This form is required to be filed with the SCC in order to legally operate a business in the state of Virginia. The form is available for download from the SCC website and must be completed and filed in person or by mail. The application requires information about the foreign corporation, such as its name, address, state of incorporation, purpose, number of shares, and the names and addresses of its officers. It also requires the signature of an authorized representative of the corporation and a filing fee. There are two types of Virginia Application for Registration or for Renewal of Registration of Corporate Name (foreign corporations): 1.
