The Washington Initial Personal Care Plan (PCP) is a state-wide health care program designed to provide comprehensive, affordable coverage for Washington residents. It is available to Washingtonians who do not have access to employer-sponsored or other public health insurance programs. The Washington Initial Personal Care Plan (PCP) includes coverage for medically necessary health care services such as doctor visits, hospitalization, prescription drugs, laboratory and X-ray services, and mental health and substance-use disorder services. It also covers preventive care services, including vaccinations and screenings. There are two types of Washington Initial Personal Care Plan (PCP): Standard and Enhanced. The Standard plan covers the same services as the Enhanced plan, but with lower cost-sharing and lower out-of-pocket maximums. The Enhanced plan offers more comprehensive coverage, including vision and dental services, as well as additional preventive care services. Washington Initial Personal Care Plan (PCP) is administered by the Washington Health Benefit Exchange and is available to eligible Washington residents through the exchange's Healthplanfinder website. To qualify, individuals must meet certain income and residency requirements.
