Washington Claim Suppression Complaint is a legal term used in the state of Washington. It refers to a civil action brought by a person who claims that another person or entity has wrongfully denied or suppressed their right to pursue a legal claim or action. This could be done by way of intimidation, threats, coercion, fraud, or other wrongful means. There are two main types of Washington Claim Suppression Complaints: Intentional Claim Suppression and Negligent Claim Suppression. Intentional Claim Suppression occurs when a person or entity deliberately prevents another person from pursuing a legal claim or action. Negligent Claim Suppression occurs when a person or entity fails to take reasonable steps to prevent another person from pursuing a legal claim or action. In either case, the complainant must prove that the defendant was responsible for suppressing their right to pursue a legal claim or action. If successful, they may be able to recover damages, costs, and attorney’s fees.
