You have three options for recording your documents in the Official Records: You can bring your original documents in person, along with the appropriate fees, and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Miami-Dade County Courthouse East. For a Building permit application, it can take up to 14 business days for the first cycle of review to be completed. You will be notified (via email) if your application requires corrections. If so, address the concerns and upload any revised drawings and/or documents.

Depending on the type of permit and the complexity of the project, plan reviews may take between 24 hours and 10 business days for the initial review, except for any corrections needed. If corrections are needed, known as ?reworks?, review may take between 24 hours and 10 business days once corrections are submitted.

The Notice of Commencement shall be recorded in the office of the Clerk where the real property is located. See Florida Statute 713 for detailed information, including posting requirements.

Should a Notice of Commencement Florida be Notarized? In Florida, the NOC must be signed and notarized by the owner or the owner's agent.

How long does it take for a permit to be approved? Residential Construction Permits require an average of 14 working days for approval or response. Additional approvals from other departments are also required to issue a permit. Commercial Construction Permits require an average of 28 working days for approval.

Miami, Florida — Today, the Florida Keys Coalition for Equality (FACE) announced that the Florida Keys Collaborative for Equality (FCU) and the Miami-Dade State Attorney have teamed up to study the feasibility of conducting an attitude survey to measure attitudes and acceptance towards diversity. “We know that diversity in the workplace is a critical issue for Miami-Dade and Florida,” noted FACE Director and Chair of the Florida Keys Coalition for Equality Mary Cuba. “For example, the Miami-Dade County Employee Relations Board found that 40 percent of women, and 54 percent of African Americans, feel they have negative feelings about their jobs. The FCU will be working with the FCU and Miami-Dade State Attorney to create data which will be used to develop a model which can be used to create a more inclusive workplace in the county.
