At UCLouvain, a bachelor's programme generally includes both a 'major' (150 credits), which reflects the name of the degree, and a 'minor' (30 credits).

What is the IEP Minor? The IEP Minor is unique in UK engineering education. A set of three modules grouped together, you take one module in your second year, and two modules in your third year.

All UCL programmes require GCSE or equivalent passes in English Language and Mathematics at grade 5 / C or higher.

The IEP is an award-winning undergraduate teaching framework shared by most UCL Engineering undergraduate degree programmes. It is not a programme that you apply to directly, so here's precisely what it means for you and your chosen degree.

We will expect grade A* or A*A, if taking both subjects (or IB Higher Levels with scores of 7 or 7 and 6). Science and non-science graduates are considered equally. However, all graduate applicants must offer A-level Chemistry and Biology (or IB equivalent).

Access UCL Scheme and contextual offers Applicants that are eligible and successful in receiving an offer, will automatically receive an offer that is lower than the standard entry requirements for the programme.

Equivalent qualification Successful completion of the WBQ Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate plus 2 GCE A levels at grades ABB. ABB at Advanced Highers (or AB at Advanced Higher and BBB at Higher). T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Childcare (Level 3) with the overall mark of at least Distinction.
