Both your petitioner (i.e. spouse or relative with lawful permanent status (a green card) or U.S. citizenship) and you will need to fill out form G-325A if you are filing Form I-130, but only you will need to do so if you're adjusting permanent status via Form I-485.

You no longer need to submit G-325A; Form I-129F serves the same purpose. Form I-130: A Petition for an Alien Relative Application provides this supplemental data for a beneficiary spouse or family member when submitted along with the required Form I-130A.

Although form G-325a was easy to file, keeping in mind the inconvenience that the form provides to the applicant, the USCIS has discontinued the use of this form. As previously mentioned, this form is replaced by three other forms—I-129F, I-130, and I-485—which serve the same purpose.

The adjustment of status process requires preparing and submitting a number of forms. Formerly, your checklist of forms would have included a Form G-325A, which collected biographical data about things like the immigrant's (or the petitioning spouse's) parents, past residences, and past employers.

Do I need to submit Form G-325A with my I-130 petition? No, you don't need to submit Form G-325A, providing your biographical data, along with your Form I-130 filed on behalf of your spouse.
