'Affix a recent color photograph' means attach your current coloured photograph which must be in the required format and 'get attested by principal of college where you study' means you have to get it signed by your principal to proof that this is genuine.

A: First photograph needs to be affixed on the first page of the application form without any signature/stamp. Second photograph needs to be affixed on the third page of the application form, and then stamped across with office stamp and signature of the Head of Office.

Photos should be stapled or glued to Form DS-82 or DS-11 (application for U.S. passport). If the photograph is stapled, the staples should be placed as far away as possible from the applicant's face. Photos taken in front of busy, patterned, or dark backgrounds will not be accepted.

Photograph Print Properties The photograph should be in size 2 inch x 2 inch 51 mm x 51 mm and in colour.

To avoid processing delays, be sure your photo meets all the photo requirements. Please note: Staple the photo to the application. Please use 4 staples vertically in the corners as close to the outer edges as possible.
