The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest and most diverse school boards in Ontario. It serves approximately 84,000 students in 149 schools located throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Orangeville and an additional 46,000 students in adult and continuing education programs.

Of the private Catholic schools in Toronto, the largest is St. Michael's College School with 1000 students in Grades 7 to 12.

Trustees are paid $18,500 a year in salary, and can claim up to $18,000 for expenses.
