After you apply for FEMA assistance, you can create an online account and upload documentation. Your online account will have a record of what documents were sent and when they were sent. Download the FEMA app or access the site directly by visiting DisasterAssistance.gov.

Create an online account with the same email address you provided during registration. A PIN will be sent to the email address on file. You can then log into your account. You can now upload your important documents in the Upload Center.

Emergency Declarations supplement State and local efforts in providing emergency services, such as the protection of lives, property, public health, and safety, or to lessen or avert the threat of a catastrophe in any part of the United States.

If more than one member of a household has applied, the additional registrants should call the FEMA Helpline, 800-621-3362 to withdraw their applications. Once this occurs, the original registration for the household can be processed for assistance.

This dataset lists all official FEMA Disaster Declarations, beginning with the first disaster declaration in 1953 and features all three disaster declaration types: major disaster, emergency, and fire management assistance.
