If your mortgage is not federally backed but Regions is the lender or servicer, Regions may agree to a 90-day forbearance if you have an eligible hardship. Although interest will continue to accrue during the forbearance period, you will not be charged fees related to the scheduled non-payment.

How Do You Get A Mortgagee Clause? Many lenders require borrowers to have a mortgagee clause, and it'll be a part of the loan under their property policy, issued by the homeowners insurance company. The company will need to document who has the lien within the policy.
