If your high school GPA is 3.4 or higher (or your SAT score is 1170 or your ACT score is 24 or higher), you are accepted into BSU's Commonwealth Honors Program! You will receive an invitation to Honors with your acceptance to BSU.

The grading system for graduate students at Bridgewater State University is different from that of the undergraduate programs. Graduate course achievement will be rated A (4.0), A- (3.7), B+ (3.3), B (3.0), B- (2.7), C+ (2.3), C (2.0), C- (1.7), F (0),W (Withdrawn), IN (Incomplete), or AU (Audit).

For all students, honors college admission is highly selective. Students must possess high grades (usually a 3.75 GPA or above), impressive SAT/ACT scores, and a developed sense of why they would benefit from an honors program.

The Honors Program at Bridgewater connects students to a diverse community of engaged citizen-scholars on campus and to a network of honors students across Massachusetts and the country.

Students who have been academically dismissed and want to be readmitted into the same program, must submit a letter of appeal to the dean of the College of Graduate Studies and the graduate program coordinator within 45 days. Students are not permitted to register for a course for a semester after dismissal.

The dean's list is published at the end of each fall and spring semester to honor the academic achievement of full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students. A 3.3 GPA for the semester is required with a minimum of 12 credits earned and no grades of “incomplete” (IN/INC/IN.).

A minimum of 120 earned degree credits, completion of all degree requirements, and resolution of any incomplete grade(s). Satisfactory completion of all requirements for a bachelor's degree must be under a catalog in effect within eight years of the date of graduation.
