Those involving grades of W-drop (W), Satisfactory (S), Unsatisfactory (U) and Q-drop (Q) shall be excluded. If either of a student's cumulative GPA or the GPA for courses listed on the degree plan falls below the minimum of 3.00, he or she will be considered to be scholastically deficient.

Request for Q-Drop Undergraduate students will normally be permitted four Q-drops during their undergraduate studies.

A student may drop courses during the first five days of a fall or spring semester (the first four days of a summer term). Students also may drop classes with special permission of the dean through the 12th class day of a fall or spring term.

Students may drop and add courses via web registration through the 5th class day of a fall or spring semester, or through the 4th class day of a summer term. After the open drop/add period, students must obtain approval from their academic dean to drop or add courses.

Course Drop Definition and Penalty Once a student has six (6) withdrawals that do not qualify for an exception the student may not be permitted to drop future courses, and the student will receive the grade earned in the course.
