The Incident Action Plan (IAP) Quick Start is a short form combining HICS Forms 201, 202, 203, 204 and 215A. It can be used in place of the full forms to document initial actions taken or during a short incident. Incident management can expand to the full forms as needed.

HICS was developed by a national work group of twenty hospital subject-matter experts from across the United States.

Incident Briefing ICS Form 201: Provides the Incident Commander (and the Command and General Staffs) with basic information regarding the incident situation and the resources allocated to the incident. In addition to a briefing document, the ICS Form 201 also serves as an initial action worksheet.

The Incident Command System or ICS is a standardized, on-scene, all-risk incident management concept. ICS allows its users to adopt an integrated organizational structure to match the complexities and demands of single or multiple incidents without being hindered by jurisdictional boundaries.
