Regulation 2001/1206 - Cooperation between the courts of the Member States in the taking of evidence in civil or commercial matters.

The current ePrivacy Directive is a legal act of the European Union that requires member states to achieve a particular result without dictating the means of achieving that result. It has therefore been implemented into national laws and regulations.

This Regulation lays down the statute of executive agencies to which the Commission, under its own control and responsi- bility, may entrust certain tasks relating to the management of Community programmes.

One example is the EU single-use plastics directive, which reduces the impact of certain single-use plastics on the environment, for example by reducing or even banning the use of single-use plastics such as plates, straws and cups for beverages.

This Regulation lays down rules on the conservation, management and exploitation of living aquatic resources. The Regulation lays down detailed provisions on protected species and habitats, fishing protected areas, restrictions concerning fishing gears and practices and minimum sizes of marine organisms.

It allows taking of evidence from one member state to another without recourse to consular and diplomatic channels. The regulation applies to all the member states of the European Union with the exception of Denmark.
