The residual cancer burden score (RCB) is a validated system which considers residual disease in the tumor bed and lymph nodes after NAC, generating a continuous score which is then grouped into four categories: RCB-0 (pCR), RCB-1, RCB-2 and RCB-3 reflecting the tumor burden remaining.
