There is no charge for Resident Parking permits. You need to place the permit sticker in the rear window of your car on the passenger side. If your window is tinted, display your sticker on the side window of the front passenger side.

Allow up to two working days for your application to be processed. You cannot park until you receive a permit activation email. All vehicle details are securely stored so our officers can check a vehicle has a valid permit on their handheld.

Residents, including students, can get a parking permit for the first time by appearing in person between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the office of the Parking Clerk, Room 224, Boston City Hall. Parking permits are issued at no charge, and are valid for two years; thereafter they may be renewed online.

To ORDER Guest Passes Submit an Internal Service Request (ISR) to “Parking Services – Guest Passes,” passes are $12 each. Within 5 business days of receiving your request, the ISR will be processed and the passes will be emailed to the requestor.

Massachusetts License plate number – Non-resident parking passes are no longer available. IMPORTANT: The Annual Parking Pass is valid only for the vehicle license plate included in your order.
