District grants fund small-scale, short-term activities that address needs in your community and communities abroad. Global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary's areas of focus.

The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

District Simplified Grants are a tool that clubs can use to support short-term humanitarian projects that benefit their communities. Funding is based on the amount of money contributed by the District to The Rotary Foundation three years earlier.

Global grants have a minimum budget of $30,000 and a maximum World Fund award of $400,000. Grant sponsors can use a combination of District Designated Funds (DDF), cash, and/or directed gifts and endowment earnings to fund a global grant.

District Grants (DG) are grants managed by the district with funding received from The Rotary Foundation based on a portion of the Annual Programs (SHARE) Fund giving from three years prior.

District Designated Funds (DDF) provide funding for District Grants and Global Grants. Each Club is allocated DDF annually by District 5150 based on the Club's prior three (3) years of donations to The Rotary Foundation's (TRF) Annual Fund.
