Get Form No 16

While Form 16 is issued annually on TDS from salary, Form 16A is issued every 3 months for TDS on income from other sources. Form 26AS, on the other hand, is a government record of the tax deducted from an individual or company and deposited with the Income Tax Department.

In a bid to check TDS credit using Form26AS, one needs to follow the steps mentioned below: Visit .incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home. Register yourself. If already a registered user, log in using the credentials. Go to 'My Account'. Click on 'View Form 26AS'. Select 'Year' and 'PDF format'. Download the file.

Form 26AS provides important information about tax deducted/collected and deposited with the government tax authorities by the authorised deductors/collectors. A taxpayer can view all financial transactions involving TDS/TCS for the relevant financial year in Form 26AS.

TDS Return After depositing TDS with the income tax department, the deductor should file Form 26Q on TRACES. The details of the dividend payment are part of this report. The deductor, after filing the report, should provide Form 16A to the deductee.

Select the Generate Form16 menu. Select the options as provided before generation. Select the rows that you wish to generate Form 16 Part B. Click on "Generate Form 16" button to generate the Form 16.

How to Claim TDS Refund Online? Sign in or sign up on the online e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department, i.e., incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Fill in the relevant details in the applicable Income Tax Return (ITR) form. On submission of the ITR, the portal generates an acknowledgment.
