Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes §§ 42-17301 through 42-17313, the property tax deferral program allows certain individuals to defer property taxes on their primary residence. The individuals applying for a property tax deferral must meet certain qualifying requirements.

Exemption from property taxation is automatically granted for property owned by government entities, which do not impose property taxes on one another. To apply for an Organizational Exemption you must file an application (Form 82514A) with the County Assessor in the county where your property is located. This form can only be obtained by contacting the County Assessor's office.

Personal Exemptions are part of the Office's Valuation Relief Programs Division: Personal Exemptions are offered to eligible Widows, Widowers, Totally Disabled Residents or Disabled Veterans with an Honorable Discharge.

The Senior Value Protection Program is part of the Assessor's Valuation Relief Programs Division. Senior Value protection offers citizens the opportunity to freeze their property value for a period of time, primarily based on income, age and residency (primary residence).
