During busy times of year, we welcome more than 4,000 people a day. That's a lot of potential light! For this reason, photography is prohibited in all exhibition areas in the National Archives Museum, including in the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom.

The National Archives Museum in Washington, DC, is home to the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights.

Entry to the National Archives museum is free. Reservations are not required for individuals or groups wishing to visit the National Archives Museum, but they are strongly suggested between March and Labor Day to avoid potentially long lines outside.

Index prints are similar to contact sheets in that they conveniently show all the images on one page. The big difference is that they are made from a collection of digital files as opposed to a single roll of film. Images on an index print are often called “thumb-nails”.

Check archive & unarchive items On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app . Sign in to your Google Account. At the bottom, tap Library. Archive. Select a photo. Touch and hold to select multiple photos. Tap More. Unarchive.

It isn't necessary, but if you really want to ensure that every image is indexed by Google, then it will be beneficial to do this otherwise you might not have them all discovered simply by crawling.

An archival image is an image meant to have lasting utility. Archival images are usually kept off-line on a cheaper storage medium such as CD-ROM or magnetic tape, in a secure environment. Archival images are usually of a higher resolution and quality than the digital image delivered to the user on-screen.

Image - Create Index Drawing Open the image library. Choose Image - Create Index Drawing. Provide a name and an optional description for the new drawing. Choose which columns should be added to the drawing's table. Press OK.

Checking the index status of your images In Google Search Console click into "Crawl" and then "Sitemaps." Then click into your "Images" tab and you can see the number of images indexed out of the total submitted, within each of your sitemaps.
