Florida Cracker Ranch is a family-oriented outdoor adventure club located in Flagler County that offers families a wide range of outdoor adventures including ATVs, camping, horse trails, fishing, swamp buggy area, dirt bike area, mudding, and much more.

The origin of the term “Florida Cracker” is somewhat in dispute. Some say it refers to the cracking sound made by the whips used by early white settlers to herd their cattle. Others say the term comes from the use of cracked corn in making moonshine, a common activity on the Florida frontier.

In the late 1800s, northern European beef and dairy cattle were imported into the South and crossbred with the Spanish cattle to introduce what is known as Cracker cattle. The Cracker cattle herds roamed the Florida prairies and unfenced land across the state.

“From a staffing perspective we had to readjust the menu and they didn't want us to go away from their concept. So, what is Cracker cuisine? Cracker cuisine sprang from the American pioneers and cowboys who settled in Florida between the Civil War and World War II. They lived off what could be grown or hunted in Florida's then-rural terrain and fished from the surrounding waters.
